Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 1074!
We are excited that you chose to visit our site! Troop 1074 is located in College Station, Texas, in the heart of the Brazos Valley and home to Texas A&M University. Our Troop’s charter organization is St. Thomas Aquinas Church. We are a part of the Sam Houston Area Council (SHAC), which serves over 164,000 youths annually across 2,600 scout units throughts its 36 Districts. We are proud to be part of the Arrowmoon District - the northernmost district in the council. Please feel free to look around. If you're ready to take the next step, click on the "Join our Troop" link above or feel free to contact our Scoutmaster or visit one of our regularly scheduled Troop Meetings if you have any questions.
Troop 1074 will be traveling to Hale Scout Reservation in Talihina, Oklahoma for this year’s Summer Camp. We are very excited to return to Camp Hale after 7 years! Camp Hale offers several programs to include more than 60 Merit Badges, a Soaring to Eagle Program for first year scouts, and an Outbound Program for scouts age 14 and up. This promises to be an exciting experience for all scouts! If you’re interested, save your spot now! Camp costs vary depending on program selected.
Emerald Forest HOA Presentation
The council recognized the Emerald Forest Homeowners Association for establishing a Little Free Library of Distinction in their neighborhood. The small library provides residents a convenient book exchange and is an outstanding, community-initiated Strong and Sustainable Neighborhood Project.
Pictured below are residents Steve and Sandra Nash, Boy Scouts from Troop 1074 who provided leadership and labor to make the library a reality, and Scoutmasters Chip Van Zandt and Joe Jilka.
